I’m Addicted to Cute, British, Asian Girl Videos (no not like that!)

November 28th, 2007 — 1:21am

Edit: She’s NOT BRITISH, she’s Aussie!

I don’t even know how I landed on this Web Gem, but she has become my first YouTube Subscription. Why? Is it hilarious? No. Scary? No. Amazing? Uh uh. I don’t know why but I think this girl is clever and her vlogs are short enough to stop whenever, yet I still keep coming back for more! Here’s a link to her YouTube collection:

You Can Keep It Walmart!

November 13th, 2007 — 9:36pm

Walmart PC

This piece of trash is proudly brought to you by the lovely folks at Walmart.

Meet the Everex TC2502 Green gPC w/ Via C7-D Processor aka the computer that will give consumers the impression that Linux sucks pretty hardcore.  Do me a favor, if you’re gonna be cheap about your computer - talk to a friend that knows about computers before slamming down hard earned cash on a silicon brick of garbage.  In case you’re wondering it runs on gOS preinstalled.

Don’t misunderstand me, this is a good value - however, new users BEWARE!

PS. Dude, Put Ubuntu on it! ;)

Britney Spears: Now and Then

November 5th, 2007 — 10:22pm

Sadly, I’m coming out of the perpetual pop culture closet: I like Britney Spears’ new album “Blackout”. :( I only have one explanation: great production. Its a myriad of wonderful rhythms and Britney kinda hardly sings (good for her!). Only when she actually tries to sing do I want to kill myself, but this is seldom. As a present for reading that last paragraph I give give you:

Britney Spears’ Toxic covered by better singer and ukulele!

Progressive Cares!

November 1st, 2007 — 3:17am

Ever since I’ve owed a car, I’ve used Progressive (Geico turned me down, losers). They have been the most friendly, easy to use, understanding company I have dealt with in a long time. One of the things they may not be aware of is that my software support company supports their software needs! So technically, we’re even. I digress; They sent me the funniest email about deer awareness for my area (South Eastern Pennsylvania) that I couldn’t resist but to share!

Progressive Cares!

To add they sent these list of precautions:

  • When driving at night, use your high beams when there is no oncoming traffic. The lights cause deer’s eyes to glow, making them more visible. High beams also help you see farther, giving you additional time to react if a deer is on or near the road.
  • Deer often travel in groups. If you see a deer, be prepared for additional deer to follow.
  • Deer can be found on highways and busy city streets, not just rural roads. Deer can suddenly dart across a road when distracted by lights or the sound of a horn.
  • Drive cautiously through posted deer-crossing areas.
  • Contact your local law enforcement to remove a deer that is lying in the road for the safety of other approaching vehicles. Never approach a deer yourself. Wear your safety belt at all times.

So be careful deer drivers!

Site Change! CSS, Themes, and Wordpress 2.3.1 OH MY!

November 1st, 2007 — 2:03am

Just an FYI,

I love this blog’s design - always have.  In case you’re wondering, it’s Treacle from not-that ugly.  I just made some modification to the styling to conform with what I think is the standard resolution (1024×768).  When I started using the theme I had modified it to 800×600 but that was a long time ago when that was an acceptable resolution to go on.

Wordpress - the single most awesomest open source blogging engine in the WORLD! - has upgraded and so has this site and EJ’s Site to the newer version.  So far my favorite part about the upgrade: TAGS!!! OHHHHHH SNAP this post is the first to use it! Sweet.  Let me know if the redesign is a problem.

Peace out!
