My Dearest Gmail,

We’ve known each other for how long now? I know you weren’t counting but, almost 5 years. Yes, 5 years.  That’s a long time to be with someone.  I mean when we met you were just a baby practically.  Only letting people into your life that you wanted - or from people you knew.

I wasn’t a dad yet and not as overweight. I was still a New York resident.  You weren’t even using AJAX yet, but your HTML was so cute.

I just don’t understand why you left me. I’ve been a mess since you’ve been gone.  I don’t know how to upload pictures without Picasa, read RSS feeds without our Reader.  God, remember all those feeds we looked at together? Gear Live, Perez Hilton, Icanhascheezeburger.  Ever since you left I don’t even know how to keep my life organized.  My calendar is crazy.

At first, Outlook tried to comfort me at work pushing its calendar at me and telling me it had emails for me.  But its for work, Outlook doesn’t understand. I turned to this domain, finally created an email here.  But I feel so bad because all I do is dress it up to look like you.  I went to Google and got  it Gmail interface, made it a pastel calendar and started a new reader with it.  But underneath it all, I know its not you.

I just want what’s best for both of us, so if you feel like you want to let me log back in again someday, I’ll be there.  I already have forgiven you, no hard feelings.  That’s what you do when you’re in love, and I still love you.  I know you said I can try again in 5 days - it’s been 3, so I’ll wait.  If you’re not there, I understand. I’ll make due with my new email but know that you still live in my heart.
