In Windows, my buddy Joel had shown me that Real Player (I know, bear with me) creates a plugin that allows you to directly download flash videos to your computer. So the adventure began to do the same in Ubuntu. READY!? WAIT FOR IT! WAIT FOR IT!
There is some software/firefox plugins to do this but for me, I prefer the simplest solution which is:
Navigate to >Places >Computer >Filesystem >tmp
When the youtube video you have in your browser is fully downloaded, you can simply drag and drop from tmp onto your desktop, or anywhere else you might like to put it.
Seriously, that’s it. Thanks to the Ubuntu Forums for coming through again (they always do). There are plugins and programs, but to me this is too easy
I thought the last few vids didn’t really introduce me to the YouTube community so I decided to give a bit more of a background on who I am and what I do and bla bla EDWIN IS SO BLEEPING BORING!
FINALLY, after so much hassle I here’s a very mediocre video of me talking nonsense into my webcam and posting my very first YouTube video. I feel like such a newb. Without further ado, I present moving garbage that I made:
I don’t even know how I landed on this Web Gem, but she has become my first YouTube Subscription. Why? Is it hilarious? No. Scary? No. Amazing? Uh uh. I don’t know why but I think this girl is clever and her vlogs are short enough to stop whenever, yet I still keep coming back for more! Here’s a link to her YouTube collection:
